With many students not being able to hang out with friends and fellow peers, it is important to have some interaction with classmates to promote a healthy learning environment and have some fun. GHS Student Services is following this protocol by hosting an online Among Us meet every Thursday from 11:30 A.M to 12:30 P.M. for all high school students at Glenelg High School. Among Us is a popular multiplayer game that rose in popularity this year during the COVID-19 pandemic. (Among Us Article) By Rayyan Ahmad Among Us, by developer InnerSloth, exploded in popularity last month. Even though the game was released in the summer of 2018— being 2 years old— it earned over 18 million downloads in August according to Gamespot. The game then earned another 41.9 million mobile downloads in September, growing exponentially in those 2 months. The game can be played on three different location servers, across Asia, North America, and Europe. It has also risen in fame among students at Glenelg and other Howard County Public Schools.
By Rayyan Ahmad With social distance keeping many of us at home, many find it difficult to occupy these long periods of time with interesting and fun activities to do. With these streaming services, watching movies and shows has never been easier.
