The Ford Mustang Mach-E coming out for sale in late 2020 and officially made public in 2021 is Ford’s all new electric car. Ford is releasing their first electric car to compete with the likes of Tesla, Jaguar, and Audi. The all new Mach E has been promoted on its ability to go from zero to sixty miles per hour in approximately 3 seconds and long range of mileage. In a school full of 1,196 students, it is difficult to know everyone in your grade. There are 290 students in the Senior class this year, so there will be many remarkable people walking across the stage whom some people may not know. One person in particular, Gabriella Cawley, is an exceptional Senior graduating this year. By Sarah Cipolla Glenelg High School students who take part in the Students Against Destructive Decisions (S.A.D.D) worked tirelessly throughout the school year to keep the community aware of the destructive decisions that reckless people can make. The week before prom, Seniors and Juniors participated in the Glenelg Ghost Out, tested out the drunk driving simulation, and listened to a presentation by a former Glenelg student.

From sports, academics, and constant family pressure, Howard County is possibly one of the most competitive and stressful environments for someone to grow up in. In order to tackle such an alarming issue within the students of our community, the Howard County Board of Education recently proposed a new homework and grading policy which limits the amount of homework a student is assigned every night. Lights! Camera! Action—and all that jazz! During the last four days of March, Glenelg High School’s Theater Department put on a spectacular performance of Chicago in the high school’s auditorium. From flapper dresses and jazz to murder and adultery, Chicago had it all. The play was based on the true story of two murderesses competing for fame and manipulating their way out of the imminent demise they faced from their crimes. By Sarah Kang
Seventy-seven percent. That is the percent increase in E-cigarette use among high school students as compared to 2017, as stated in Truth Initiative. Today, numerous teens are found to consume nicotine more often than usual. According to Truth Initiative, 56% of those aged 15-17 who have vaped in the past month have used their device on three or more days. The use of such devices have clearly displayed an abrupt increase, and they have been found in school environments as well. By Sarah Kang
Every year on March 14, the students and staff at Glenelg High School celebrate an unique holiday: Pi day! For those who are unfamiliar with what Pi is, it is a mathematical symbol (π) that is approximately 3.14, which is the date it is celebrated. The search for Pi was first done approximately 4,000 years ago by the Babylonians and Egyptians; however, it is unclear as to how it was discovered. By Jacob Kersh and Alexis Kominos
Lights, camera, action! On Friday, March 1st, the Glenelg Broadway Connections program (GBC) performed their unique interpretation of the ‘first day of high school’ in front of a tremendous crowd. The first GHS basketball tournament, Glenelg BallOut, was set to take place on Wednesday March 20. Hosted by the Glenelg High School Class of 2021, the winners of the tournament are granted the ultimate prize of pride and bragging rights. 'Tis the season for promposals! Prom is right around the corner, on April 6th, to be exact: less than one month away from the big night at the lakefront Sheraton Hotel in Columbia. Girls have been shopping for the right dress and boys have been looking for the ideal tuxedo to match their date. The Howard County community recently lost a phenomenal student, athlete, and person after he took his own life in late January. The passing of the River Hill High School Junior follows the 2012 suicide of Glenelg’s own Grace McComas, and marks yet another tragic suicide of a student in Howard County.
