Overview

Glenelg Key Club is a service club where students volunteer and donate to benefit the Glenelg community. Key Club aims at giving back to the community through food drives, volunteering at service events, donating to needy organizations and families, and participating in service opportunities that benefit different projects around the world. The GHS chapter is just one of many Key Clubs in the world that all come together to meet one goal. Throughout the year, Key Club participates in food drives, makes Grassroots lunches, donates to animal shelters, donates toys for Toys for Tots, adopts a family for Christmas, makes blankets for Project Linus, creates cards for soldiers, and so much more! Currently, the club has over one hundred members, and at the end of the year, they all meet together at the DCON convention!

Why You Should Join

Key Club is a great way to get involved with service, meet new people, and learn about ways to give back to the community and local areas. Leadership skills are also built through interactions with other people, who are also interested in making a difference in the world.  The dedicated service and leadership opportunities in Key Club make joining and volunteering a great way to earn service hours!

Upcoming Events

Key club meets in the cafeteria after school on the second and fourth Thursday of every month for about forty-five minutes to an hour. However, Key Club is a club that needs to be joined through membership to the organization at the beginning of the year. But, if you would like to join next year, just stop by the first meeting during the first couple weeks of school!
