Mr. Illuzzi is proud to be the advisor to The Glenelg Shield staff, and thrilled to serve Glenelg's students and community as a teacher and SGA Exec advisor. Prior to teaching English at GHS, he taught ELA and International Baccalaureate in various high schools since 2004, including Upper Darby HS in Pennsylvania, Huntington HS in West Virginia, Old Mill HS in Anne Arundel County, and Chesapeake HS in Baltimore County. Illuzzi moved to Woodbine in 2020 where he lives with his beautiful wife and three children. He graduated with degrees in secondary education and journalism from Susquehanna University in 2004 and received his Master's degree from Wilmington University in 2007. Outside of school, Illuzzi is the head summer swim coach of Waugh Chapel Swim Club (15 years) in Gambrills, MD, and a lead age group coach on Eagle Swim Team.
