Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) is a business club for young minds to explore the array of fields that lie within business. Whether it’s web design or entrepreneurship, FBLA caters to the interests of various students. Glenelg’s FBLA meets twice a month, every other Thursday from 2:15 to 3:00 after school.
FBLA’s meetings consist of discussing future competitions, meeting guest speakers from the business world, and working in committees to strengthen the collaboration and impacts of our club. Each year, FBLA attends three competitions: regionals, state, and nationals. Last year, multiple members placed in the state competition and moved on to nationals. This year, over 20 people placed in regionals and ready for states!
The sponsor of Glenelg’s FBLA club, Kathryn Delaney, has uplifted our members towards success using her previous experience in business and culinary. The executive board of FBLA, the officers, Harshia Bhagat, David Liu, Gaurav Sharma, Veronica Benedict, Rukmini Gadam, and Ethan Sexton are all dedicated to spreading the creativity and problem-solving that comes with business. FBLA is dedicated to helping students align their interests with a competitive category and future career choice!
