Hunter Forsyth defines a well rounded student athlete. He is attending the University of South Carolina and will major in business. He excelled in high school, obtaining a 3.3 grade point average. Even while keeping academics as his main focus, Forsyth was a two year starting quarterback on the football team and shortstop on the baseball team. He was even selected to the All-County baseball team his Junior year. Forsyth explained the traits he needs to possess to be a two sport captain, he explained that, “It rips being someone that the team looks up to as a leader and role model. I had to get over my fear of talking in front of big groups of people while being a captain and this will be helpful for when I need to talk in front of people in the real world.”  Sports have been a huge part of Forsyth’s high school experience. His favorite memory from his four years at Glenelg was beating Glenelg’s rival school, River Hill in the playoffs his senior year. Forsyth believes that his overall high school career was a success and he has no regrets. He wants to be remembered as a friend to everyone and a good teammate on and off the field.

Forsyth is excited to further his academic career at South Carolina. He is also thrilled to be rooming with his best friend, John McAuliffe. Forsyth and McAuliffe are both considering trying to walk on the the school's baseball team, which is a huge challenge for anyone but it is certainly possible to happen. Forsyth plans on joining a frat his freshman year of college so that he can immediately make new friends and meet people with similar interests.
