Glenelg prides itself on its sense of community with its students and staff. This year, we welcome our newest Glads who look to make a lasting impact.

Claire Mize, Attendance Secretary
Although she’s new to the building, Mize is familiar with some of the Glenelg staff, including her husband and math teacher, Josh Mize. Mize was previously a para-educator at the elementary school level. Mize said she is excited for a brand new year and looks forward to getting to know and interact with the students.

Fun Fact: Despite never having thought of the question, Mize’s dream flavor of mouthwash would be “Irn Bru” flavored, derived from the popular Scottish soft drink - Irn Bru.

Lindsay Beil, College and Career Readiness
Beil is the newest addition to the student services team. Beil is a Glenelg alum and has always enjoyed the staff, students, and overall sense of community of GHS. Beil is passionate about helping students plan for life after high school and her goals for the year are to build a sense of community with her students and colleagues, while keeping students informed and educated.

Fun Fact: If Beil could build a pillow fort anywhere in the world, she would build it in modern Rome.

Nick Serkes, U.S. history teacher
Series said he is excited to be teaching at Glenelg for the first time, completing an education triple crown after having taught history at both Triadelphia Ridge Elementary and Folly Quarter Middle. Serkes is grateful for the rare opportunity to have taught students from their youths and follow their academic careers to later years in high school. He enjoys seeing familiar faces in classrooms and hallways and encourages past students of his to drop by and say hello.

Fun Fact:
Serkes’ dream mac and cheese bowl would consist of creamy mac and cheese, old bay seasoning, and pieces of crab scattered throughout.

Chris Reagle, Activities / Athletic Director
Reagle previously served as the Activities and Athletic Director at Mariott’s Ridge High School for six years and before that as the athletic director at Hammond High School. Reagle has worked in Howard County for 14 years and said he is thrilled to be at Glenelg. Reagle has come to love the Glenelg community and is happy to be working closer to his family. Reagle grew up in Howard County and is a Hammond High alum. Reagle is excited for a brand new year and is looking forward to meeting and getting to know everyone.
