By Hannah Butera & Tyler Curtiss Prom 2018 was one for the books. What is better than walking in to find not only a beautiful venue, but a dessert table filled with a mouthwatering array of candies and desserts? Located at the Renaissance Hotel in Baltimore’s Inner Harbor, the venue was both stunning and classy. “This was my first prom and I was beyond impressed! I didn’t know what to expect, but my night was unforgettable” said Junior Leya Prezelski. She is right on point, the night was unforgettable.
This year’s prom had a fun candy theme, and the dance was complete with an abundance of candyland-vibe decorations. “In particular I was a fan of the adorable lollipop centerpieces places on all of the little tables. I probably ate like ten lollipops!” said Senior Amy Smith. The loads of time and effort put into this year’s prom was clearly reflected in every aspect of the venue. In all honesty, school dances usually don’t have the greatest Djs. However, at this year’s prom this was not the case. The Dj was full of energy and constantly played fun, popular music that kept the crowd energized. He even handed out “2018” sunglasses and light up sticks! It does not get much more fun than that. And of course, he threw some sweet slow songs in the mix to set the mood. As we all know, prom is not all about the dance. For a lot of people, getting all dressed up and taking pictures with their friends is their highlight of the night. Or maybe the bus ride, dinner, or other fun pre-prom activities people partake in before the dance. However, with a dance and venue this amazing, it takes the trophy for the best part of the night.
