Haunted attractions Field of Screams First up on our list is a classic activity for those looking for intense thrills, Field of Screams in Olney, Maryland or Mountville, PA. Field of Screams offers a variety of attractions that range from carnival games to terrifying haunted trails and haunted house tours. In this year's lineup, Maryland has a haunted trail with over 55 different stops and new thrills at each one, as well as this year's main attraction, Slaughter Factory. The cost of admission for the value pass is $44 plus tax each. More information can be found on their website. Laurel’s House of Horror Located in Laurel, Maryland, Laurel’s House of Horror is a closer option for those who don’t want to drive too far for a scream. It is inside an abandoned movie theater that has been repurposed for escape rooms and haunted attractions. For a one-hour time slot it is $30, more information can be found on their website. Kindred Hills One attraction called Kindred Hills is locally owned and based in Frederick, where you can relax in the Hilltop area complete with a bonfire, food, drinks, and games, embark on the haunted trail through the Kindred Hills forest, or go during the day for the children's Trick or Treat Trail where kids can walk along the trail and be given candy by characters along the way. Hiking Taking a different approach at Fall, hikes on local trails and mountains are a great way to get some air and experience the full spectrum of color that Fall brings. Many trails in Maryland are within driving distance from the Glenelg area such as Annapolis Rock, which is around 46 minutes from the Glenelg Area. Around the same distance is a reliable trail on Sugarloaf Mountain which is around 47 minutes. With the leaves changing color, now is the perfect time to get out and take in the beautiful scenery that these two hikes bring. Pumpkin Spice Flavors Fall is Iconic for its pumpkin spice flavors in coffee, donuts, and a variety of other goods, and among the places to get them are Dunkin’ Donuts and Starbucks. At Dunkin’ you can get both their pumpkin spice signature latte and a variety of pumpkin bakery items. At Starbucks they have a wide selection of drinks including the pumpkin spice latte, pumpkin cream cold brew, apple crisp oat milk espresso, and the pumpkin cream chai latte. They also have a pumpkin cream cheese muffin and baked apple croissant. Fall Photoshoots If you’re more into the artsy side of Fall, photoshoots are a perfect activity to create memories and kill time. As of recently, many people have been taking pictures in a variety of settings wearing either a sheet and sunglasses or a carved pumpkin head. Some locations that are popular include corn mazes, sunflower fields, forests, and even common locations like grocery stores and parking lots.They can be taken with friends, family, and even pets are getting involved in this trend. Movie Marathons Feel like staying inside rather than going out this Fall season but still want to get involved? Fall movie marathons are a great way to get into the Fall spirit while staying indoors. There are many Fall classics to watch such as Friday the 13th, Beetlejuice, The Nightmare Before Christmas, and Hocus Pocus, but if you’re having trouble finding the right movies to watch, tune into Freeform’s 31 Nights of Halloween.
